An invariant of regular isotopy for disoriented links

In this paper, we define a two-variable polynomial invariant of regular isotopy, M_K for a disoriented link diagram K. By normalizing the polynomial M_K using complete writhe, we obtain a polynomial invariant of ambient isotopy, N_K, for a disoriented link diagram K. The polynomial N_K is a generalization of the expanded Jones polynomial for disoriented links and is an expansion of the Kauffman polynomial F to the disoriented links. Moreover, the polynomial M_K is an expansion of the Kauffman polynomial L to the disoriented links.

Two new records of the Coniopteryx (Neuroptera: Coniopterygidae) species for the Turkish fauna

Two species of the family Coniopterygidae, Coniopteryx (Xeroconiopteryx) loipetsederi H. Aspöck, 1963 and C. (Coniopteryx) borealis Tjeder, 1931, are here recorded for the first time in the Turkish fauna. Morphological and ecological notes as well as the distribution map with new recording sites are also provided. The purpose of this study was to investigate the formation of the plexus sacralis in the Kyrgyz pheasant (Phasianus colchicus mongolicus) and the origin of the nerves emerging from the plexus sacralis. Five adult male Kyrgyz pheasants were used that had been hunted in their natural habitat near the town of Tokmok in the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan. An algorithm for line matching in an image by mapping into an n-dimensional vector space

This paper proposes a minimal length difference algorithm for construction of a line in an image by solving the problem of optimal contour approximation. In this algorithm, a method for finding interest points is proposed, and the object matching (classification) is done by mapping interest points onto a vector space. The aims of this study were to determine the factors that affect follicle size at the time of artificial insemination (AI) and to detect the relationship between ovulatory follicle size at the time of AI and pregnancy rate in dairy cows. A total of 1428 follicle size measurements were obtained from Holstein-Friesian (HF) and Swedish Red (SR) cows that were inseminated with the fixed-timed AI protocols used in this study. An updated checklist of the species of Turkish Raphidioptera and further analysis concerning their zoogeographical distribution are presented in this study.
