The Oxidation Behavior of Potato Starch and Benzyl Alcohol via Peroxide in the Catalysis of Metal Complexes

Mustafa DOLAZ

Two new Schiff bases ligands (HL1 and HL2) and their Co2, Mn2, Fe3, Ru3, Cr3, and VO2 complexes were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and Mass spect. and analytical methods. A single-crystal X-ray diffraction study determined the molecular structure of HL1. The catalytic effects of metal complexes on benzyl alcohol and potato starch (PS) oxidation were compared in an H-2O-2 medium. The percent conversion of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde and benzoic acid was determined by Gas Chromatography. [Co(L-1)(2)], [Mn(L-1)(2)], [Co(L-2)(2)], and [Mn(L-2)(2)] showed the highest catalytic ...Daha fazlası

A Wooly Way? Fiber technologies and cultures 3,000-years-ago along the Inner Asian Mountain Corridor

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV

Wool-focused economies yielded a pastoralist materiality that visibly shaped the lived experiences of Central Asian populations today. In this paper, we investigate the earlier application of fibers through a key mountain corridor for social interactions during Prehistory. We focus on the site of Chap 1 located in the highlands of the Tien Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan where researchers have found a complex agropastoral subsistence culture was established from at least ca. 3,000 BCE. The perishable materials that would have accompanied the early spread of cultural and technological traditions r ...Daha fazlası

Trait profiling and genotype selection in oilseed rape using genotype by trait and genotype by yield*trait approaches

Hossein ZEİNALZADEH TABRİZİ

Selection and breeding for high-yielding in oilseed rape have always been one of the leading objectives for oilseed rape breeders. This process becomes more complicated when all quantitative traits are considered in selection in addition to grain yield. In the present study, 18 oilseed rape genotypes along with 2 check cultivars (RGS003 and Dalgan) were evaluated across 16 environments (a combination of 2 years and eight locations) in the tropical climate regions of Iran during 2018–2019 and 2019–2020 cropping seasons. The experiments were conducted in a format of randomized complete block des ...Daha fazlası

Nematode-citrus plant interactions: host preference, damage rate and molecular characterization of Citrus root nematode Tylenchulus semipenetrans

Şenol YILDIZ

center dot Citrus plants are host to several plant parasitic nematodes (PPNs), which are microscopic organisms. Among PPNs, the citrus root nematode, T. semipenetrans (Cobb 1913) (Tylenchida: Tylenchulidae), causes significant damage to citrus plantations worldwide. Understanding citrus nematode populations, precise identification, host preference among citrus species, and damage threshold are crucial to control T. semipenetrans. The minutiae of citrus plant-nematode interactions, nematode density and molecular nematode identification are not well understood. In this study, nematode species an ...Daha fazlası

Salt tolerance of endophytic root bacteria and their effects on seed germination and viability on tomato plants

Eren ÖZDEN

Salinity is one of the most brutal environmental factors limiting the productivity of agricultural lands worldwide. It is considered that the salinity may be one of the important reasons for the low yield in Igdir of the tomato plants, which is medium resistant (3-5 dS.m-1) among vegetables. Eco-friendly techniques such as endophytic root bacteria treatments (ERB) are needed to restore saline soils to agriculture and also to increase the yield of tomatoes. Endophytic bacteria colonizing the inside of plants increase plant growth by various mechanisms and also mitigate the adverse effects of bi ...Daha fazlası
