The effect of intraocular pressure, serum calcium, magnesium and inorganic phosphorus concentrations on jumping performance of horses

The aim of the study is to evaluate the relation of serum mineral levels (Ca, Mg, P) with intraocular pressure (IOP) and jumping performance of horses. Twenty-four jumping horses, actively participated in the competition, were selected from a horse sport center in Bishkek and used for this study. Intraocular pressures in both eyes of each horse were measured by using a tonometer and blood samples were collected for analyzing serum Ca, P and Mg levels. Amaç: Bu araştırma Japon bıldırcınlarında dağ nanesinin (Mentha caucasica) performans, bazı vücut ölçüleri ve canlı ağırlık arasındaki ilişkilerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada 1 günlük yaştaki 150 Japon bıldırcını civciv kullanıldı. Bıldırcınlar, her grupta 50'şer adet olmak üzere, kontrol, nane I (%0.75) ve nane II (%1.50) olarak üç gruba ayrıldı. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the toxic effects of aflatoxin on some hematological parameters and to determine the preventive effectiveness of added glucomannan. In the study, 32 Merino rams were used, and the rams were separated equally to four groups as control (C), glucomannan (G), glucomannan + aflatoxin (AG), and aflatoxin (A). This study was aimed to determine the effects of the glucomannan added to aflatoxin- (AF-) contaminated diet on the sacculus rotundus and peripheral blood lymphocytes of New Zealand rabbits by histological and enzyme histochemical methods.
