Comparison of Intraoperative Effects of Intratesticular Lidocaine and Procaine on Hemodynamic Responses in Male Cats Undergoing Routine Castration

Ayday CUNUŞOVA

This study was aimed to compare the effects of intratesticularly administered lidocaine and procaine on perioperative nocifensive responses in cats undergoing elective castration. Sixteen male cats (weighing between 2.3 and 6.7 kg, and 8 mounths to 3 years of age) were received for planned castration and suitable for inclusion. Cats were incidentally divided to 2: the lidocaine (group 1) and the procaine (group 2) groups. In group 1, lidocaine (1 mg/kg) was slowly injected to the right testis of the cats with a hypodermic syringe. In group 2, 1 mg/kg procaine was slowly injected to the right t ...More

Halk Elinde Yetiştirilen Kars Kaz Etinin Besinsel Özellikleri

Mitat ŞAHİN

Bu çalışma halk elinde yetiştirilen Kars kaz etinin besin madde, yağ asidi profili ve et renk yoğunluklarının tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada Kars ili farklı bölgelerinden toplanan 12 adet tuzlanmış-kurutulmuş kaz but eti numuneleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada kuru madde, enerji, protein, yağ, kül, mineral madde düzeyleri ile yağ asidi profili ve renk yoğunlukları incelenmiştir. Kaz etinin toplam aerobik mezofilik bakteri sayısı da belirlenmiştir. Denemede elde edilen kazlarda kuru madde (KM) miktarı ortalama 36,03±2,76 g/100 g, protein miktarı 25,57±1,44 g/ 100 g olarak tespit ...More

Ali RIŞVANLI | Abuzer TAŞ | Ayperi Aytmırza Kızı | Nur ABDIMANAP UULU

In this case report, it is aimed to present unilateral uterine torsion in a 7-year-old Shorthair Scottish queen. The queen, which had full-term pregnancy, was brought to the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Veterinary Faculty Teaching hospital with complaints of stagnation, vomiting and hypothermia. In the ultrasonography examination, 3 kittens without a heartbeat were detected. After the abdominal incision made in the queen for whom emergency cesarean section was decided, a 1080o counterclockwise torsion was noticed on the caudal side of the cervix uterine in the left uterine horn of the queen ...More

The Relationship of Blood Asprosin Levels and Biochemical Parameters in Pregnant Cows = Gebe İneklerde Kan Asprosin Düzeylerinin Biyokimyasal Parametrelerle İlişkisi

Ali RIŞVANLI

In this study, it was aimed to determine asprosin levels in pregnant and non-pregnant cows and to determine the relationship between some biochemical parameters and asprosin levels. For this purpose, 60 Simmental cows were divided into two groups as pregnant (n30) and non- pregnant cows on the postpartum 15th day (n30), and asprosin levels and biochemical parameters were measured by taking blood from the cows once. Measured biochemical parameters were Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), Amylase, Creatine kinase myocardial band (CK-MB), Creatine kinase N-acetyl cysteine (CK-NAC), Gamma glutamyl transfe ...More

Distribution and heterogeneity of mast cells in different regions of the genital canal in female quails during the prepubertal and postpubertal periods

Nariste KADIRALİYEVA

This study aimed to determine the distribution and heterogeneity of mast cells located in different parts of the genital tract of female quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) during the prepubertal and postpubertal periods using different fixation solutions and staining methods. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, tissue samples were taken from the genital tract (infundibulum, magnum, isthmus, uterus, vagina) of healthy female quails, including 10 prepubertal and 10 postpubertal animals. The tissue samples of both groups were fixed in either 10 neutral formaldehyde or isotonic formaldehyde ...More

Comparison of genotype × trait and genotype × yield-trait biplots in Sunflower cultivars

Hossein ZEİNALZADEH TABRİZİ

The selection of genotypes based on various characteristics is a critical challenge in plant breeding. An experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) in three replications over two crop years, 2018-2019, to compare the effects of genotype × trait (GT) and the genotype × yield-trait (GYT) methods as well as investigate the relationships between grain yield and different agronomic traits. Plant materials ten sunflowers (Helianthus annuus L.) genotypes. Based on the combined analysis of variance, there was a significant difference in parameters except leaf length. The ...More

Effect of Plant Pattern and Density on Morphological Characteristics and Yield-Related Traits of Non-Dehiscent Sesame Cultivar

Hossein ZEİNALZADEH TABRİZİ

Determining the appropriate planting arrangement and plant density leads to better productivity of resources and increased yield per unit area. In this regard, an experiment was conducted in the Ardabil agricultural and natural resources research and education center (Moghan) during the 2021 crop year. This experiment uses a strip plot design based on randomized complete blocks with four replications. Its main factor is the effect of planting rows at a spacing of 30, 45, and 60 cm with planting spacing of 5, 8, 11, and 14 cm serving as the subfactor. According to the results, by increasing the ...More

Effect of Microbial Fertilizer on The Development of Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Seedlings Exposed to Salt Stress

Atilla DURSUN

Salinity is an important abiotic stress factor that negatively affects plant growth and yield. The study, the effect of microbial fertilizer containing Bacillus subtilis bacteria, commercially named Subtima, on salt stress in pepper was observed. Two different saline solutions (100 mM and 200 mM) were prepared to create salt stress in the plant growing medium. The fertilizer solution was applied to the plants in 4 different concentrations (300, 400, 500 and 600 ppm) from the leaves in the form of a spray. Morphological parameters such as plant height, stem length, leaf length, leaf width, and ...More

Askarbek TÜLÖBAEV | Gülnaz ASKARBEK

Regional peculiarities of specific immunity in inhabitants of different mountain heights of the Kyrgyz Republic

Kaliman KASIMALİYEVA

Kyrgyzstan’s challenging natural conditions and fragile mountain ecosystems can weaken the immune system of individuals residing permanently in high-altitude areas. Our study aimed to explore specific immune protection indicators in healthy populations from the Chui and Naryn regions at varying mountain altitudes. We assessed percentages of CD3 (T-lymphocytes), CD20 (B-lymphocytes), CD4 (T-helper lymphocytes), CD8 (cytotoxic T-lymphocytes), IRI (immunoregulatory index), CIC (circulating immune complexes), and quantified immunoglobulins of classes A, M, and G. Using immunofluorescent methods an ...More
