Energy consumption has been found to be important in understanding national and global emissions. This paper investigates the relationships between SO2, NOx, CO, VOC, NH3, CO2 emissions,income, and energy consumption in Europe from 1990 to 2012. Environmental Kuznets Curve literature has excluded spatial interdependence and this could bias the estimates. This study aims to examine performance of artificial neural networks (ANN) in forecasting stock market index movement. The forecasting is based on two samples of Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) data and each consisting of 150 observations. Forecasting performance is assessed in one, five and ten day periods. Results show that ANN gives high percentage of correctly forecasted signs. This performance is particularly evident in five days period, while conventional approach mostly uses next day forecasting. This paper aims to study the determinants of innovation activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in five small post-Soviet countries. Empirical analysis is based on the data from the fifth wave of the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey. Innovation of SMEs is measured with five innovation practices. Bu çalışmada, Borsa İstanbul’da (BIST) kote olmuş 13 turizm şirketinin 2011-2015 dönemine ait finansal performansları TOPSIS yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, şirketlerin finansal güçlülüğünü tespit etmek amacıyla öncelikle mali oranlar hesaplanmış, finansal oranlar kullanılarak TOPSIS metoduyla genel şirket performansı tespit edilmiş ve şirketler bu skorlara göre sıralanmıştır.
