The Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Lead (Pb)Applications on Eggplant Seedling Growth and Nutrient Uptake

There are many factors, which negatively affect plant development. One of these factors is lead (Pb), which causes toxic effects on plants during the seedling period. Mycorrhizas (AMF) contribute positively to plant growth. In eggplant seedlings, it has been researched whether to tolerate the negative effects of lead with mycorrhizas. In the study, Gigaspora margarita (Gm) and Glomus intraradices (Gi) mycorrhizal races were applied before seeds were sown. Bölge, bu türlerin yetiştiriciliği için önemli bir tarım alanı olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bazı Çekirdek Kabağı (Cucurbita pepo L.) Islah Hatlarının Bafra Koşullarındaki Performansları

Çalışmada seleksiyon ıslahı ile geliştirilen on sekiz adet çekirdek kabağı hattının bazı tohum özellikleri ile tohum verimi kriterleri 2 yıl süreyle incelenmiştir. Tohum boyu (18,81 – 24,68 mm), tohum eni (10,70 – 14,80 mm), tohum kalınlığı (2,48 – 4,66 mm), 1000 dane ağırlığı (223,2 – 549,0 g) ve tohum verimi (101,99 – 165,01 kg/da) kriterleri genotiplere göre değişiklik göstermiştir. Farklı Sıcaklık Uygulamalarının Mantarda (Agaricus bisporus (Lange) Sing.) Verim ve Karpofor Özellikleri Üzerine Etkileri

Bu çalışma üç farklı üretim odasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Misel ön gelişme devresinde nem değerleri %85-90, sıcaklık değerleri ise birinci oda 22, ikinci oda 24 ve üçüncü oda 26 °C olacak şekilde ayarlanmıştır. Karpofor oluşum devresinde ise nem değerleri %80-85, sıcaklık değerleri de 16, 18 ve 20 °C’lere düşürülmüştür. Some Morphological Characteristics of Gene Pool from the Hybridization of Local Tomato Genotypes and Some Commercial Types

Determination of different gene sources is important for plant breeding studies; therefore, local genotypes are of interest. In this study, collected genotypes were hybridizied with commercial genotypes in order to transfer some traits such as disease resistance and long shelf life to local genotypes.
