The relationship between long-term portfolio investments and growth in the context of asset characteristics and development level

This study investigates the linkage between portfolio investment and economic growth in 18 developed and 27 developing countries. Furthermore, it compares and analyzes interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing assets and the economic development level. The results of our analysis show that long-term portfolio investment is positively associated with economic growth in developing countries. Corporate environmental, social, and governance activities and financial reporting quality: An international investigation

This paper examines the impact of firms' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activities on financial reporting quality (FRQ). The study uses 45,877 firm-year observations from 65 countries between 2003 and 2021. In the research model, firm characteristics and macroeconomic and institutional structure characteristics of the countries are controlled for. This study finds that firms with higher ESG scores have higher FRQ.
