Water is an effective additive to fuel oil to reduce the concentration of soot in the gas phase

Mirlan MOLDOBAYEV | Kubat KEMELOV | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

Soot is one of the products of incomplete combustion of hydrocarbon fuels. It has the property of adsorption of active and carcinogenic substances on the surface of soot particles. In this regard, in burner equipment of medium and small power, it is required to develop and implement effective environmental measures to reduce emissions of soot particles. In this paper, the fuel oil-water-air system at a wide temperature range (T500-3000K) was studied and the ratio of gas-liquid flows (water content in fuel oil 5-15) at the maximum entropy of the system and the formation of soot in flue gases wa ...More

Sorption characteristics of zeolite and bentonite natural adsorbents modified complex

Zarlık MAYMEKOV

The main objective of our study is to obtain a complex compound from natural adsorbents to purify wastewater with simultaneous sorption of chemical and microbiological substances contained therein, which contribute to disinfection and softening of water, increasing the degree of treated water saturation with calcium, magnesium salts and trace elements, while not requiring the use of sophisticated equipment. The technical result is to create a complex of adsorbents with the sorbing ability of chemical and microbiological pollution, disinfecting and softening water, enriching it with calcium ion ...More

Concentration Distribution of Molecules and Other Species in the Model System Fe-NaCl-Na2S-H2SO4-H2O at Various Temperatures of the Electrocoagulation Process

Zarlık MAYMEKOV | Canarbek İZAKOV | Nurzat ŞAYKİYEVA | Mustafa DOLAZ | Mehmet KOBYA

Under practical conditions, one of the possible solutions to the problem of treatment of hydrogen-sulfide-containing industrial wastewater is the electrochemical oxidation of sulfides. In this work, the model system Fe-NaCl-Na2S-H2SO4-H2O is considered, an experimental setup is constructed, and the electrocoagulation process is studied in a wide (288-308 K) range of temperatures of an aqueous solution of hydrogen sulfide. The optimal ratios between the initial components in the system are determined. The experimental and calculated pH of the solution are found. The system is thermodynamically ...More

Prediction of the formation of low-molecular components, particles, and condensed phases during thermal destruction of oil-contaminated soil

Kubat KEMELOV | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

In this study, thermodynamic modelling of the process of thermal destruction of oil-contaminated soil of Ozenmunaigas JSC, which includes compounds such as carbon, silicon, aluminum, iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chromium, phosphorus, manganese, copper, titanium, molybdenum, nickel, vanadium, and water, was carried out. The physicochemical and thermodynamic parameters of the complex system were calculated at P0.1 MPa, T598-3000 K. The concentration distribution of components, particles, and condensed phases in the gas phase has been established. In the process of thermal destruc ...More

Possibilities for Prediction And Evaluation of the Carbon Footprint in Furnace Fuel Oil Combustion in Medium- and Low-Power Boilers

Mirlan MOLDOBAYEV | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

To predict and evaluate the carbon footprint in the gas phase, furnace fuel oil oxidation in excess air (alpha factor 1.3) was studied over a wide temperature (T 298–3000 K, P 0.1 MPa). Equilibrium thermodynamic parameters (entropy, enthalpy, and internal energy) and the concentration distributions of C-, S-, N-, O-, and H-containing components and active particles in the gas phase were determined. Based on the total concentration distribution of C-, S-, N-, O-, and H-containing components and active particles in the gas phase, the weight content of carbon was calculated. Taking into account t ...More

Electrochemical Sulfur Removal at Controlled and Uncontrolled pHs with an Iron Anode

Nurzat ŞAYKİYEVA | Mustafa DOLAZ | Zarlık MAYMEKOV | Mehmet KOBYA

In this study, sulfide removal was carried out in the Electrocoagulation process under controlled and uncontrolled pH conditions. Under optimum conditions, electrocoagulation took place in less than 40 minutes at uncontrolled pH and less than 30 minutes at controlled pH to reduce the sulfite concentration of the effluent below 0.5 mg/L. The reaction rate constant and iron-sulfide molar ratio for sulfide removal were 14.09 x 10(-2) min(-1) and 0.97 mol/mol, respectively; under uncontrolled pH conditions, they were 22.88 x 10(-2) and 0.97 mol/mol at controlled pH. The mg sulfide removed per g Fe ...More

Study on antimony cake as a technogenic raw material for the production of antimony oxides

Zarlık MAYMEKOV

In the process of hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical production of antimony at the Kadamzhai antimony plant of the Kyrgyz Republic, large-tonnage waste was generated: tailing sand, matte, slag, off-balance ore, cakes, furnace fragments, and electrolytes in salt warehouses. The waste cake is poorly studied; accordingly, the elemental and phase compositions of antimony cake have not been established. In this regard, it was noted that antimony in the cake occurs in the form of calcium antimonate and antimony hydroxide. The content of antimony in the mine tailings cakes is from 3.53 to 4.4%, ...More

The Impact of Road Salts on Groundwater and Estimation of the Chlorine Ions by Hydrogen Index

Canarbek İZAKOV | Kubat KEMELOV | Nurzat ŞAYKİYEVA | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

In this study, the influence of road salts on groundwater was investigated. The use of anti-ice reagents in winter requires certain precautions since the main chemical composition of the salts is chlorides. At the same time, the widely used sodium chloride does not form ion pairs in water, which means that it has a high migration ability and a weak sorption potential. In addition, the concentration of chloride salts in the components of the environment is so high (10-140 ppm). Therefore, the rapid assessment of the concentration of technogenic chlorine ion in water by pH is an urgent task. The ...More

The concentration distribution of components and particles in the system: tomato-water-sodium nitrate and assessment of the oxidation-reduction potential at different temperatures

Nurzat ŞAYKİYEVA | Canarbek İZAKOV | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

The paper considers a triple complex system of tomato, water and sodium nitrate. Taking into account the average macronutrient composition and moisture content of field and greenhouse tomatoes, physicochemical modeling of the system was carried out tomato-water-sodium nitrate. The hydrogen index of tomato was determined at various temperatures and it was noted that tomato medium was acidic. It is shown that with an increase in the content of sodium nitrate in the system: tomato - water - sodium nitrate within the temperature range from 278 to 293 K, the hydrogen index of tomato increases, i.e. ...More

Reducing Concentrations of Benzo(a)pyrene in Gas Phase Soot Particles by Using and Burning Water Fuel Emulsions

Kubat KEMELOV | Zarlık MAYMEKOV

In this study, benzo(a)pyrene-water-oxygen systems were investigated in wide ranges of change of temperature value and initial components to predict in which conditions benzo(a)pyrene degraded into more harmful substances. Consequently, the thermodynamic parameters of the benzo(a)pyrene-water-oxygen system were calculated and the concentration distribution of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen-containing particles in the gas phase were established. Adding water into the system allowed decreasing of carbon and acetylene. These elements are the key elements of benzo(a)pyrene formation. According to thi ...More
