Kırgızistan Cumhuriyeti, 31 Ağustos 1991 tarihinde bağımsızlığını ilan ettikten sonra, hızlı bir şekilde, Kırgız dilinin kullanım alanının yaygınlaşması için çalışmalar başlatılmıştır. İlk yıllarda ülkede başta Ruslar olmak üzere pek çok etnik grubun bulunmasından dolayı bu çalışmalar pek başarılı olamamıştır. В статье раскрывается теория древнего происхождения кыргызов, согласно которой гунны - это древние предки кыргызского этноса, а один из их предводителей, Аттила, происходит из народа кыргызов. Для достоверности положений развиваемой теории рассматриваются несколько доказательств: историческое, историко-хронологическое, культуролого-археологическое, языково-лингвистическое, музыкально-культурологическое, медико-генетическое. Кроме того, используются описательно-исторический метод, анализ, синтез, индуктивный и дедуктивный методы, а также архивные материалы.
