Entropic organizational climate (EOC): Development and validation of new scale = Энтропийный организационный климат: разработка и валидизация новой шкалы

Mustafa Fedai ÇAVUŞ

Entropy, which is an element of the system approach evaluating organizations as a system, refers to the deterioration tendency. Purpose. This study aimed to develop a new scale in order to evaluate the negative climate in organizations. Method. The study was carried out in two stages. In the first study, the construct validity of the scale (N 412) was revealed by exploratory factor analysis and, also convergent and discriminant analysis in the banking sector. The second study was carried out in the teacher sample (N 224) and analysed for confirmatory factor analysis and predictive validity of ...More

Traditional Values and Institutional Quality = Традиционные ценности и качество институтов

Nurbek MADMAROV

Why do similar economic and political institutions function differently in various cultures? This paper tries to identify potentially important factors related to the institutional quality. We investigate the relationship between cultures, cultural dimensions: non-tradition in particular, and formal institutions to explain differences in the quality of institutions around the world. We use a measure of traditional values, structured by Inglehart and Baker, from the World Values Survey, to extend the literature on the determinants of institutions' quality. We show that differences in traditiona ...More

SOLUTION OF RATIONAL DIFFERENCE EQUATION

Burak OĞUL

The behavior of the solutions of the following system of difference equations is examined, [Formula Presented] where the initial conditions are positive real numbers. The initial conditions of the equation are arbitrary positive real numbers. Also, we discuss and illustrate the stability of the solutions in the neighborhood of the critical points and the periodicity of the considered equations. Keyword: limit; Rational difference equation; solution; stability

This study reveals the macroscopic and microscopic structures of the Eurasian lynx planum nasale using materials from three dead females obtained from the Sivas Forestry Branch of Agriculture and Forestry Ministry of the Republic of Turkey. To accomplish the purpose, planum nasale was investigated using macroscopic, histological, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. The microscopic examination showed that the planum nasale consists of hairless, moist, glabrous skin and resembles a ship anchor with arm, palm, stock, and sickle parts. The planum nasale's surface is formed by epider ...More

The use of the isometry of function spaces with different numbers of variables in the theory of approximation of functions

Fahreddin ABDULLAYEV | Meerim İmaş Kızı

In the work, we found integral representations for function spaces that are isometric to spaces of entire functions of exponential type, which are necessary for giving examples of equality of approximation characteristics in function spaces isometric to spaces of non-periodic functions. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the nonnegativity of the delta-like kernels used to construct isometric function spaces with various numbers of variables.

Monitoring Nutrient Uptake of Chard (Beta vulgaris var. cicla L.) Exposed to Exogenously Applied Nitric Oxide under Drought Stress

Atilla DURSUN

Nutrient uptake of chard under well-watered and drought conditions with different NO applications were investigated in this research. NO solutions were prepared with four doses (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 µM) of sodium nitroprusside as a nitric oxide source and exogenously applied on only seeds (s) or together with seed and foliar (sf) of chard under different levels of drought according to 100% (control), 67% and 33% of the water required to reach field capacity. Nutrient uptake drastically decreased under drought stress. However, progressive effects of NO applications on nutrient uptake have be ...More
