Archaeobotanical research in prehistoric Central Asia and beyond has repeatedly reported highly compact wheat and barley varieties found along piedmont sites of the Inner Asian Mountain Corridor (IAMC). The morphotypical variation of wheat caryopses across Eurasia generated the Liu et al.
