Green Marketing refers to efforts that in the production and marketing of products and services cause less harm to the environment. It is now difficult to open up to local or international markets and to gain competitive advantage over rivals. Today, as environmental problems increase, the consumers' expectations from businesses have changed. Green consumers are generally defined as individuals who adopt environmentally friendly behaviors and / or buy green products among standard a ...More
In weighted Orlicz-type spaces S-p,S- (mu) with a variable summation exponent, the direct and inverse approximation theorems are proved in terms of best approximations of functions and moduli of smoothness of fractional order. It is shown that the constant obtained in the inverse approximation theorem is the best in a certain sense. Some applications of the results are also proposed. In particular, the constructive characteristics of functional classes defined by such moduli of smoothness are given. Equivalence between moduli of smoothness and certain Peetre K-functionals is shown in the space ...More
The World Nomad Games (WNG) is a new form of large-scale events in the world. Thus, little empirical research is focused on understanding perceived impacts of the WNG and behavioural tendencies of the host community. The research aims to reveal the perceptions of the local people regarding the possible impacts from hosting the World Nomad Games in two different localities of the Kyrgyz Republic. The impacts of the WNG were measured using a survey conducted among local residents based on face-to-face interviews. The study examines data collected from two localities in the Kyrgyz Republic: 384 s ...More
The performance analysis of healthcare supply chain management (SCM) has become extremely important as healthcare systems have begun to struggle to enhance operational efficiency and diminish costs. The aim of this study was to measure healthcare SCM in accordance with competency-based operation evaluation. The study was organized as a hierarchical structure based on the main processes, sub-processes, and their operations of healthcare SCM. It is considerably difficult to quantify the competency of an operation. Therefore, a fuzzy model was developed to measure healthcare SCM performance accor ...More
Purpose
This study aims to examine the hysteresis hypothesis in unemployment using monthly data from 13 countries in transition.
Design/methodology/approach
Stationarity in the unemployment rate of selected transition economies was analyzed using four different group unit root tests, namely, linear, structural breaks, non-linear and structural breaks and non-linear.
Findings
The empirical results show that the unemployment hysteresis hypothesis is valid for the majority of transition economies, including Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, the Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, ...More
The relationship between the interest rate and inflation is one of the most discussed issues in macroeconomic studies, especially within the scope of the Fisher and Neo-Fisher effect. In this study, panel causality analyzes are applied by using a quarterly dataset between 2001 and 2019 in 32 OECD countries, and the form and power of this relationship are tried to be explained by a regression analysis. With the existence of cross-section dependence, the Hausman test, autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity tests are performed, and the stationarity of the variables are analyzed by the CADF test. ...More
