Wind speed is the most important parameter in the design and study of wind energy conversion systems. Probability density functions, such as the Weibull and Rayleigh, are often used in wind speed and wind energy analyses. In this study, statistical methods were used to analyze the wind speed data of Bishkek in the northern region of Kyrgyzstan. Measured daily time series of wind speed data were obtained from the State Meteorological Station in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, over a three-year period from 2003 to 2005. The probability density distributions are derived from the time series data and the dis ...More
We study an optimal control problem for a Schrodinger-type equation that states the motion of a charged particle in a varying electromagnetic field. The objective functional is given by an integral criterion over boundary of domain. The solvability of considered optimal control problem is proved.
A feasible extraction procedure is proposed to retrieve the diagonal tensor elements of the permittivity and permeability, and the magnetoelectric coupling coefficient of Omega-type biansiotropic metamaterials (MMs). The procedure is based on the state transition matrix approach and uses non-iterative closed-form expressions between constitutive parameters and scattering (S-) parameters to achieve such determination using S-parameters for normal incidence and oblique incidence of TE and TM modes (a desirable feature from practical point of view). S-parameter simulations of a bianisotropic MM s ...More
It is now known that disturbing light flicker originates not only solely from amplitude modulation (AM) of the fundamental amplitude and low-frequency interharmonic components as described in IEC 61000-4-15 standard but also high-frequency interharmonic components around an odd harmonic which have the same effect as low-frequency components causing flicker. Because this effect cannot be detected by the IEC flickermeter, an effective flickermeter is required In this article, a new flickermeter detects both the low- and high-frequency components robustly has been suggested. Quite close responses ...More
Literature has shown that oil palm leaves (OPL) can be transformed into nanocellulose (NC) by fungal lignocellulosic enzymes, particularly those produced by the Trichoderma species. However, mechanism of beta-glucosidase and xylanase selectivity to degrade lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose in OPL for NC production remains relatively vague. The study aimed to comprehend this aspect by an in silico approach of molecular docking, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation and Molecular-mechanics Poisson-Boltzmann surface area (MM-PBSA) analysis, to compare interactions between the beta-glucosidase- and ...More
