Mixed Bacteriological Isolation Percentages from the Uterus of Cows Slaughtered due to Infertility

Ali RIŞVANLI

Background: Intrauterine mixed infections are an important problem in cattle breeding. In this study, we aimed to determine the mixed bacteriological isolation rates from the uterus of cows with clinical metritis and to reveal the relationships between the bacteria that isolated together. Methods: For this purpose, sterile swabs were taken from 490 uterus obtained from cattle slaughtered due to infertility in three slaughterhouses and used them to perform microbiological tests. After evaluating the data, it was determined that the bacterial isolation rate from uterus with clinical metritis was ...More

The Consecutive Substitution Method for Boundary Value Problems (BVPs) with Retarded Argument

Ercan ÇELİK

In this study, we applied an approximate solution method for solving the boundary value problems (BVPs) with retarded argument. The method is the consecutive substitution method. The consecutive substitution method was applied and an approximate solution was obtained. The numerical solution and the analytical solution are compared in the table. The solutions were found to be compatible. Keywords: approximate solution; boundary-value problem; numerical solution; retarded argument; solution methods; substitution method; boundary value problems

Novel analytical and approximate-analytical methods for solving the nonlinear fractional smoking mathematical model

Ercan ÇELİK

Smoking is globally a challenging issue that causes many fatal health problems. In this paper, a nonlinear fractional smoking mathematical model is proposed in the context of a modi-fied form of the Caputo fractional-order derivative. The analytical and approximate-analytical solutions are obtained for the proposed mathematical model via the fractional differential transform method (FDTM) and Laplace Adomian decomposition method (LADM). The ob-tained solution is provided as a rapidly convergent series. Simulation results are provided in this paper to compare the obtained solutions by FDTM, LAD ...More

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF FERMENTATION PROCESSES OF YAK AND COW MILK

Aygül USUBALİYEVA | Cıldızay ÖZBEKOVA

Yak milk is a valuable raw material for the production of functional food. Investigation of the fermentation process with commercial starter cultures is conducted to find suitable starters for producing fermented yak milk products on an industrial scale using modern rheological, microbiological, and sensorial methods. According to the acidification curve and rheological measurement, the gel-forming time of yak milk with mesophilic, thermophilic and mixed (meso-thermophilic) starter cultures was not significantly different from cow milk; but, yak milk had a significantly higher gel strength in ...More

Evaluation of Pomological Characteristics and Bioactive Compounds of Wild Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides L.) and Hawthorn (Crataegus songarica) from Walnut-Fruit Forest Kyzyl-Unkur, Kyrgyzstan

Canıl İSKAKOVA | Cıldız ÖSKÖNBAEVA

There are different berries and fruits naturally growing in the walnut-fruit forests of Kyrgyzstan, however, their composition and bioactive compounds have not been studied. This study aims to contribute to the limited literature on dietary fibres, ash, bioactive compounds such as vitamin C, polyphenols, antioxidant activity, and physical parameters of wild sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) and hawthorn (Crataegus songarica) from walnut-fruit forests of Kyrgyzstan. The standard food analysis techniques and DPPH assay were used to determine the nutritional composition and antioxidant acti ...More

Antibacterial effectiveness of combined sodium hypochlorite and diode laser therapy with different parameters against S. Aureus biofilm

Mitat ŞAHİN

Aim: In this study, we aimed to assess the antibacterial efficacy of both single and combined sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and diode laser on Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) biofilm. Material and Methods: Eighty-four premolars were randomly assigned to groups. The Experimental groups were as follows: group 1; 5.25 NaOCl; groups 2-4; diode laser (0,7; 1,5; 2,5 W); Groups 5-7; combined laser and NaOCl. Statistical evaluations were made by Kruskal -Wallis and Mann- Whitney U tests. Results: The 2.5 W diode laser showed a high potential for elimination of S.aureus, similar to NaOCl (p>0.05). 0,7 ...More

Eco-Friendly Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Pulsed Plasma in Liquid: Effect of Surfactants

Emil ÖMÜRZAK

Silver (Ag) nanoparticles were successfully prepared by using the in-liquid pulsed plasma technique. This method is based on a low voltage, pulsed spark discharge in a dielectric liquid. We explore the effect of the protecting ligands, specifically Cetyl Trimethylammonium Bromide (CTAB), Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and Sodium n-Dodecyl Sulphate (SDS), used as surfactant materials to prevent nanoparticle aggregation. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns of the samples confirm the face-centered cubic crystalline structure of Ag nanoparticles with the presence of Ag2O skin. Scanning Transmission ...More

A Singularly Perturbed System of Parabolic Equations

Asan ÖMÜRALİEV | Peyil Esengul Kızı

The work is devoted to the construction of the asymptotic behavior of the solution of a singularly perturbed system of equations of parabolic type, in the case when the limit equation has a regular singularity as the small parameter tends to zero. The asymptotics of the solution of such problems contains boundary layer functions.

Comparison of the Impacts of Medet omidi ne/Ke tamin e and Medetomidine/Propofol Anesthesia and Their Reversal by Atipamezole on Echocardiographic Values in Dogs

Ayperi Aytmırza Kızı

The reaction of the cardiovascular system to anesthetics can be various and different, based on dosing, the experimental model, and agent sele-ction. A few studies have compared the effects of different anesthetic agents used for trans-thoracic echocardiography on cardiac functions in dogs; however, none of these studies examined the effects of different anesthetic regimes and their reversal by atipamezole echoc ardio graph icall y. The aim of this study was to investigate, visualize, and clarify in vivo both the short-term echocardiographic impacts of medet omidi ne-ke tamin e and medet omidi ...More

Correlation and sequential path analysis of oil yield and related characteristics in camelina under seasonal variations

Hossein ZEİNALZADEH TABRİZİ

The objectives of the current study were to determine the usefulness of sequential path analysis in camelina to obtain information about the relationship between yield and yield components and to evaluate their relative importance in camelina oil yield under summer and winter cultivation. A split-plot design, with two varieties as the main plot and four sowing times as the subplot, was carried out over two growing seasons (2017-2019) in Samsun, Turkey. Sequential path analysis revealed that, as first-order predictors, grain yield and oil content displayed the most significant and positive dire ...More

Solution of the Maximum of Difference Equation

Dağıstan ŞİMŞEK | Burak OĞUL | Fahreddin ABDULLAYEV

In the recent years, there has been a lot of interest in studying the global behavior of, the socalled, max-type difference equations; see, for example, [1-17]. The study of max type difference equations has also attracted some attention recently. We study the behaviour of the solutions of the following system of difference equation with the max operator:paper deals with the behaviour of the solutions of the max type system of difference equations, x(n+1) = max {A/x(n-1) , y(n)/x(n)}; y(n+1) = max {A/y(n-1) , x(n)/y(n)}, (1) where the parametr A and initial conditions x(-1), x(0), y(-1), y(0 ...More
