Comparison of Intraoperative Effects of Intratesticular Lidocaine and Procaine on Hemodynamic Responses in Male Cats Undergoing Routine Castration

This study was aimed to compare the effects of intratesticularly administered lidocaine and procaine on perioperative nocifensive responses in cats undergoing elective castration. Sixteen male cats (weighing between 2.3 and 6.7 kg, and 8 mounths to 3 years of age) were received for planned castration and suitable for inclusion. Bu çalışma halk elinde yetiştirilen Kars kaz etinin besin madde, yağ asidi profili ve et renk yoğunluklarının tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada Kars ili farklı bölgelerinden toplanan 12 adet tuzlanmış-kurutulmuş kaz but eti numuneleri kullanılmıştır. Unilateral Uterine Torsion in a Shorthair Scottish Queen

Effect of somatic cell count on milk composition and some chemical properties of milk

Subclinical mastitis is a very important disease for dairy cattle farms. As a result of the deterioration of milk quality, it causes economic losses in enterprises. Milk samples of 180 cows were divided into five groups according to the somatic cell count. Some chemical properties and composition were measured in milk samples. The ratio of solid-non-fat, mineral matter, lactose, and protein decreased as the somatic cell count of the milk increased (P < 0.05). Characterization of cereal cyst nematodes in wheat using morphometrics, SCAR markers, RFLP, and rDNA-ITS sequence analyses

In this study, morphological and molecular characterizations of twenty-four Heterodera populations (cereal cyst nematodes, CCNs) collected from wheat production fields in Turkey were carried out. Light microscopy, species-specific markers, RFLP, and ITS sequencing were used to identify the nematode populations.
