The aim of the study is to evaluate the relation of serum mineral levels (Ca, Mg, P) with intraocular pressure (IOP) and jumping performance of horses. Twenty-four jumping horses, actively participated in the competition, were selected from a horse sport center in Bishkek and used for this study. Intraocular pressures in both eyes of each horse were measured by using a tonometer and blood samples were collected for analyzing serum Ca, P and Mg levels. Effects of Aflatoxin on Some Haematological Parameters and Protective Effectiveness of Esterified Glucomannan in Merino Rams

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the toxic effects of aflatoxin on some hematological parameters and to determine the preventive effectiveness of added glucomannan. In the study, 32 Merino rams were used, and the rams were separated equally to four groups as control (C), glucomannan (G), glucomannan + aflatoxin (AG), and aflatoxin (A). The aim of this study was to determine the physiological, hematological parameters and ANAE positivity of donkeys in Kyrgyzstan. Animals (n=24) were clinically examined and blood samples were taken. The average pulsation and respiration rates of male and female donkeys were measured as 52.25±9.27; 49.16±4.80 beats/minute and 18.41±4.21; 18.58±3.30 breaths/minute, respectively. HGB, MCV, MCH and MCHC values did not different in the groups. RBC and WBC values were higher in females. Mean ANAE-positive PBL ratio of donkeys was found as 42.90±1.18%.
