On numerical solution of the second-order linear Fredholm-Stieltjes integral equation

In this framework, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the second-order linear Fredholm-Stieltjes-integral equations, u(x) = lambda integral(b)(a) K(x, y) u(y) dg(y) + f(x), x is an element of[a, b], are thoroughly derived. Moreover, instead of approximating the integral equation by different numbers of partition n, the optimal number n for the given error tolerance is established. Solving a System of Linear Algebraic Equations with a Tridiagonal Matrix: A New Look at Cramer's Rule

To numerically solve a system of linear algebraic equations with a tridiagonal matrix, a recursive version of Cramer's rule is proposed. This method requires no additional restrictions on the matrix of the system similar to those formulated for the double-sweep method. The results of numerical experiments on a large set of test problems are presented. A comparative analysis of the efficiency of the method and corresponding algorithms is given.

Решение системы линейных алгебраических уравнений с трехдиагональной матрицей: новый взгляд на метод Крамера

Для численного решения системы линейных алгебраических уравнений с трехдиагональной матрицей в работе предлагается рекурсивный вариант метода Крамера. Предлагаемая методика не требует дополнительных ограничений на матрицу системы, подобных тем, которые формулируются для метода прогонки. Приводятся результаты численных эксперименты, в рамках которых на большом наборе тестовых задач проводится сравнительный анализ эффективности предлагаемой методики и соответствующих алгоритмов.

In this paper, given solutions fort he following difference equation x(n+!) = x(n-14) / [1 + x(n-2) x(n-5) x(n-8) x(n-11)] where the initial conditions are positive real numbers. The initial conditions of the equation are arbitrary positive real numbers. We investigate periodic behavior of this equation. Also some numerical examples and graphs of solutions are given.

One Class of Systems of Linear Fredholm Integral Equations of the Third Kind on the Real Line with Multipoint Singularities

Using a modification of the approach previously developed by the authors, we show that finding solutions of one class of systems of linear Fredholm integral equations of the third kind on the real line with finitely many multipoint singularities is equivalent to finding solutions of a system of linear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind on the real line with additional conditions imposed on the kernels and the free term. The existence, nonexistence, uniqueness, and nonuniqueness of solutions of systems in this class are studied.
