Fully and partially preserved ancient Turkic stone statues discovered by the Kyrgyz archaeologists at Tuura-Suu, Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyzstan, are described with reference to the burial practices of the ancient Turks during the time when the Western Turkic and Tyurgesh states existed in the Tien Shan and Zhetysu. The article analyzes the findings from the destroyed site of Krasnyi Stroitel located on the bank of the Ala-Archa River at the northern outskirts of the city of Bishkek, in the Chuy Valley, Kyrgyzstan. In this area, now taken by a city dump, local school students accidentally found some valuable artifacts, including objects of gold and silver. The analysis of the findings allows determination of their function, time of existence, and cultural affiliation. The article addresses the topic of composite bows from nomadic sites in Tien Shan and Zhetysu. Horn plates from bows discovered in 2008–2009 at Uch-Kurbu on the Tosor River, the Issyk-Kul Depression (Kyrgyzstan), are described and analyzed. The original design of the wooden core of the bow and the location of horn plates thereon are reconstructed. We introduce recently discovered large kurgans of the Saka period in the Suusamyr valley, northern Kyrgyzstan. Mere are two cemeteries with large mounds, each of which is surrounded by ditches, stone enclosures, and ramparts. Apparently, each kurgan and the constructions around it form a whole burial complex.
