The aim of this study was to evaluate a simple and rapid DNA extraction method combined with a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (mPCR) for the identification of the major mastitis pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Escherichia coli and Mycoplasma bovis) from milk samples. Detection and identification of citrus long-horned beetle, Anoplophora chinensis (Forster, 1771) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) a new pest in Antalya Province, Turkey by sequencing of mtCOI region

In 2016, Anoplophora chinensis (Forster, 1771) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) was recorded for the first time on Acer negundo L. in Antalya Province, Turkey. Genetic identification of adult samples was made based on approximate alignment of a 729-bp sequence of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene region. Singularly Perturbed Parabolic Problems with Multidimensional Boundary Layers

The first boundary value problem for a multidimensional parabolic differential equation with a small parameter ε multiplying all derivatives is studied. A complete (i.e., of any order with respect to the parameter) regularized asymptotics of the solution is constructed, which contains a multidimensional boundary layer function that is bounded for x = (x 1, x 2) = 0 and tends to zero as ε → +0 for x ≠ 0. In addition, it contains corner boundary layer functions described by the product of a boundary layer function of the exponential type by a multidimensional parabolic boundary layer function

Comparison of Rheological and Colorimetric Measurements to Determine α-amylase Activity for Malt Used for the Beverage Bozo

In the current study, rheological and colorimetric methods were compared for determination of α-amylase activity of grain malt, used for Kyrgyz traditional fermented beverage Bozo. The highest α-amylase activity determined by colorimetric method was found in barley malt (32.83 A), followed by wheat (32.09 A), and was lowest in millet malt (10.82 A) and maize malt (10.76 A).
