Assessment of Cd-induced genotoxic damage in Urtica pilulifera L. using RAPD-PCR analysis

Plants can be used as biological indicators in assessing the damage done by bioaccumulation of heavy metals and their negative impact on the environment. In the present research, Roman nettle (Urtica pilulifera L.) was employed as a bioindicator for cadmium (Cd) pollution. Analysis of EST-SSRs in silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.)

Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) defined as sequence repeat units between 1 and 6 bp occur abundantly in both coding and non-coding regions in eukaryotic genomes and these repeats can affect gene expression. In this study, ESTs (expressed sequence tags) of Betula pendula (silver birch) were analyzed for in silico mining of EST-SSRs, protein annotation, open reading frames (ORFs), designing primers, and identifying codon repetitions. Rumen ciliate protozoa of domestic sheep (Ovis aries) and goat (Capra aegagrus hircus) in Kyrgyzstan

Species composition and concentration of rumen ciliate protozoa were investigated in the rumen contents of 14 domestic sheep and 1 goat living in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This is the first report on rumen ciliates from ruminants living in Kyrgyzstan. In sheep 12 genera, 28 species and 12 morphotypes were detected, whereas in goat 8 genera, 12 species and 4 morphotypes were detected. Outbreak of sheeppox in farmed sheep in Kyrgystan: Histological, eletron microscopical and molecular characterization

On a farm in the Kyrgyz Republic, several dead sheep were found without any history of illness. The sheep showed several ulcerations on lips and bare-skinned areas. At necropsy the lungs showed multiple firm nodules, which were defined as pox nodules histologically. In the rumen hyperkeratotic plaques were visible. With electron microscopy pox viral particles were detected and confirmed with qPCR as Capripoxviruses. Патогистологические изменение мозжечка и спинного мозга при чуме собак

Микроскопическими методами исследования установлено, что патогистологические изменения мозжечка при чуме собак в основном наблюдается в белом веществе в виде разрыхлений и вакуолообразных опустошений, наличием эозинофильных вирусных телец включений в глиальных клетках, в основном астроцитах, и периваскулярной инфильтрацией иммунных клеток. Гистологическое и иммуногистохимическое изучение лимфатических узлов при чуме собак

С помощью гистологии и отдельных маркеров иммуногистохимии (CD3, CD79acy, MAC387, PCNA, AK10H3) изучено морфофункциональное состояние лимфатических узлов при чуме собак. Отмечены глубокие деструктивные изменения как в корковом, так и в мозговом веществах органа. Пролиферативная активность иммунных клеток фолликулярной и паракортикальной зон низкая, обнаруживались множественные клетки в состоянии апоптоза и мелкие апоптосомы. Гистологическое и иммуногистохимическое изучение селезенки при чуме собак

С применением гистологических и иммуногистохимических методов исследования проанализировано морфофункциональное состояние селезенки в норме и при чуме у собак. При патологии отмечены очаговые некротизированные участки в белой пульпе органа, и они окружены с AK10H3 позитивными или зараженными клетками. В белой пульпе органа количество Т- и В-лимфоцитов незначительно, а их пролиферативная активность низкая. Функционирующие лимфоидные фолликулы не обнаруживались.
