Effect of different storage temperatures on the stability of bovine viral diarrhea virus RNA in blood samples

The present study was conducted to determine stability of Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) RNA stored at different temperatures. A total of 6 blood samples obtained from a private cattle farm, which were found to be antigen positive (Ag+) by direct ELISA method, were used in this study. BVDV Ag+ samples were stored separately at 4, 21 and 37oC for 1 month. The samples were analyzed on the 0, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks by ELISA for the presence of BVDV Ag and by RT-PCR for the presence of BVDV RNA. We compared a microbial diversity in uncontaminated and contaminated with petroleum soils in mountain ecosystems in Kyrgyzstan. Culture-dependent and culture - independent methods were used to analyze microbial diversity. Amaç: Bu araştırma Japon bıldırcınlarında dağ nanesinin (Mentha caucasica) performans, bazı vücut ölçüleri ve canlı ağırlık arasındaki ilişkilerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada 1 günlük yaştaki 150 Japon bıldırcını civciv kullanıldı. A serological investigation of Blue Tongue Virus infection in sheep breeds in Karaman province = Karaman ilinde yetiştirilen koyunlarda Blue Tongue Virus enfeksiyonunun serolojik olarak araştırılması

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the seroprevalence rate of Blue Tongue Virus in sheep flocks in Karaman. Materials and Methods: A total of 350 sheep blood serum samples were collected from 5 flocks (70 from each flocks) that were randomly selected. Samples were tested against to Blue Tongue Virus antibodies by a commercial competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA). Results: Prevalence of antibodies to Blue Tongue Virus in flocks was 32.85%, 28.57%, 25.71%, 37.14%, 41.42%, respectively. Bu çalışmada, sağlıklı tavşanlara topikal olarak uygulanan travoprost, timolol ve travoprost/timolol kombinasyonunungöz içi basıncı (GİB) üzerine etkilerinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Çalışma materyalini 42 adet sağlıklı Yeni Zelanda ırkı tavşanoluşturdu. Çalışma materyalini oluşturan tavşanlar üç gruba ayrıldı.
