First report on seroprevalence of bluetongue, border disease and peste des petits ruminants virus infections in sheep in Kyrgyzstan

In this study, the presence of antibodies against Bluetongue Virus (BTV), Border Disease Virus (BDV) and Peste des Petits Ruminants virus (PPRV), were evaluated for the first time in Kyrgyzstan. A total of 655 serum samples were collected from healthy sheep (Jaydara breed) from different regions of Kyrgyzstan (144 from Issik Gol region, 208 from Narin region, 189 from Talas region and 114 from Çuy region). Detection of Antibodies Against Blue Tongue Virus in Yaks (Bos Grunniens) in Issyk Kul, First Report

Bluetongue virus (BTV) caused infection is commonly determined in ruminants including sheep and cattle. However, there is a little information about the seroprevalence of BTV in yaks. The aim of this study was to describe the seroprevalence rate BTV in unvaccinated yaks in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan. A total of 168 serum samples were collected from yaks between September to November 2012. Survey of Anaplasma infections in Small Ruminants from East Part of Turkey = Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde Koyun ve Keçilerde Anaplasma Enfeksiyonlarının Araştırılması

This study was carried out to determine the presence and frequency of Anaplasma ovis and Anaplasma phagocytophilum in small ruminants from Bingol, Elazig, Malatya and Mus provinces. A total of 422 (291 sheep and 131 goats) blood samples were collected from apparently healthy animals. An Integrated Skills Approach using Feature Movies in EFL at Tertiary Level

Полифункциональность акынского творчества как основа зарождения профессиональной лирической песни в кыргызской культуре

Акын - один из самых распространенных деятелей традиционной музыкально-поэтической культуры кыргызов. Акыны являют собой тип синкретического деятеля, объединяющего в одном лице создателя и исполнителя вокальных (стихи и мелодия) и инструментальных произведений; носителя и глубокого знатока норм традиционной морали (адат и шариат); мастера проведения семейно-бытовых обрядов. Самая яркая и почитаемая функция акынов - это участие в межродовых поэтических состязаниях-айтышах, одерживая победу на которых, он не только самоутверждается как творческая личность, но самое главное - возвышает свой род.
