Composite Bows from Uch-kurbu in Kyrgyzstan

The article addresses the topic of composite bows from nomadic sites in Tien Shan and Zhetysu. Horn plates from bows discovered in 2008–2009 at Uch-Kurbu on the Tosor River, the Issyk-Kul Depression (Kyrgyzstan), are described and analyzed. The original design of the wooden core of the bow and the location of horn plates thereon are reconstructed. Bu çalışma, Merinos ırkı koyunlarda gebeliğin perifer kan lenfositlerinin alfa naftil asetat esteraz (ANAE) ve asit fosfataz (ACP-az) aktiviteleri ile perifer kan lenfosit oranları üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Communicating with Voters in Social Networks: The Case of 2011 Presidential Elections in Kyrgyzstan

This study analyzes online electoral campaigns of candidates for 2011 Presidential Elections in Kyrgyzstan in order to explore interactivity – as a way for improving participation, information, and interest, and the relationships between civil society and parties – within the websites and social network accounts of the candidates. The election involved 19 candidates to the presidency. Total 13 websites, 5 Facebook accounts, 6 Twitter accounts and 4 Odnoklassniki of candidates were monitored during election campaign period of 25 September and 27 October 2011.

Kyrgyzstan: In search for stability

In the last two decades, Kyrgyzstan has searched for stability while swinging on a pendulum between democratic reforms and suppression of democracy. Political changes in Kyrgyzstan started with the liberal democratic promises of President Akayev in 1990 and President Bakiyev in 2005, but they both ended with disillusionment. Serological and virological investigation of Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus infection in cattle with abortion problem

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the presence of Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) infection in a cattle herd with abortion problem in Konya. Materials and Methods: Totally 228 blood serum and 228 leukocytes taken from cattle selected according to criteria for infertile and abortion problems were examined for antigens and antibodies to BVDV by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay. Sütçü sığırların kan ve süt serumlarında Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus antikorlarının ELISA ile belirlenmesi

Amaç: Bu çalışma kan ve süt serumlarının Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) antijen varlığı ve BVDV'ye karşı gelişen antikorların tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada toplam 202 adet sığır kan ve süt serum örnekleri kullanıldı. Çiftliklerden elde edilen serum örnekleri BVDV antijen varlığı yönünden direkt Enyzme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) ile BVDV'ye karşı gelişen antikor varlığı yönünden ise indirekt ELISA ile incelendi. Köpeklerde Canine Parainfluenza Virus Tip 2'nin immunfloresan ile araştırılması

Amaç: Köpeklerde Canine Parainfluenza Virus Tip 2 (CPIV- 2)'nin varlığının immunfloresan (IF) ile araştırılması amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Klinik olarak solunum sistemi belirtileri gösteren 61 adet köpekten nazal ve konjuktival svap örnekleri alındı. Svaplar (toplam 132 adet) Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) devamlı hücre kültürlerinde 3 kez pasajlandı. Determination of chromosomal regions affecting body weight and egg production in Denizli X White Leghorn F2 populations

Описаны и проанализированы роговые накладки от таких луков из могильника Уч-Курбу, раскопанного в 2008–2009 гг. в долине р. Тосор в Иссык-Кульской котловине (Республика Кыргызстан).
