Canine coronavirus infection in dogs in Turkey: Virological and serological evidence

In the present study, virological and serological investigations were performed to determine the presence and prevalence of Canine corona virus (CCoV) infection in dog population in Turkey. Sera samples were analyzed for specific antibodies against CCoV by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (i-ELISA) while leukocyte samples were inoculated onto monolayers of Madin Darby Canine Kidney permanent cell culture. Effect of different storage temperatures on the stability of bovine viral diarrhea virus RNA in blood samples

The present study was conducted to determine stability of Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) RNA stored at different temperatures. A total of 6 blood samples obtained from a private cattle farm, which were found to be antigen positive (Ag+) by direct ELISA method, were used in this study. BVDV Ag+ samples were stored separately at 4, 21 and 37oC for 1 month. First report on seroprevalence of bluetongue, border disease and peste des petits ruminants virus infections in sheep in Kyrgyzstan

In this study, the presence of antibodies against Bluetongue Virus (BTV), Border Disease Virus (BDV) and Peste des Petits Ruminants virus (PPRV), were evaluated for the first time in Kyrgyzstan. A total of 655 serum samples were collected from healthy sheep (Jaydara breed) from different regions of Kyrgyzstan (144 from Issik Gol region, 208 from Narin region, 189 from Talas region and 114 from Çuy region). Detection of Antibodies Against Blue Tongue Virus in Yaks (Bos Grunniens) in Issyk Kul, First Report

Bluetongue virus (BTV) caused infection is commonly determined in ruminants including sheep and cattle. However, there is a little information about the seroprevalence of BTV in yaks. The aim of this study was to describe the seroprevalence rate BTV in unvaccinated yaks in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan. The Serological and Virological Investigation of Canine Adenovirus Infection on the Dogs

Two types of Canine Adenovirus (CAVs), Canine Adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1), the virus which causes infectious canine hepatitis, and Canine Adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), which causes canine infectious laryngotracheitis, have been found in dogs. Serologic investigation for West Nile Virus Infection in Commercial Domestic Chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus)

In this study, West Nile Virus antibody presence (WNV) in white leghorn chickens located in various commercial domestic chicken establishments in Konya was studied serologically. Blood sampling from 380 white leghorn chickens within the age range of 20-40 weeks was carried out. Blood serum samples were studied by West Nile Competition ELISA kit. All samples were found seronegative.
