In the contemporary era, with rapid industrial growth and urbanisation, analysing the impact of human activities on soil enzyme activity becomes crucial. The purpose of this study is to assess the influence of anthropogenic pollution on enzyme activity in soil. Research on enzyme activity levels in the soil in the city of Kara-Balta, Chuy Region, Kyrgyz Republic, was conducted using biochemical analyses and specific enzymatic tests. First record of tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta Meyrick (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) in Kyrgyzstan

This short note reports the first record of the tomato leaf miner Tuta absoluta Meyrick (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) in Kyrgyzstan. This pest was found in February 2017 in greenhouses producing tomatoes, located 15 km from Bishkek. Identification of the pest was carried out in the Plant Protection Department, Çukurova University, Turkey based on the morphology of adults and larvae and the male genitalia. According to initial surveys this pest could be a major threat to tomato production in Kyrgyzstan.

Microbiological quality of water buffalo yoghurts retailed in Kayseri = Kayseri İlinde Satışa Sunulan Manda Yoğurtlarının Mikrobiyolojik Kalitesi

Bu çalışmada Kayseri'de satışa sunulan manda yoğurtlarının mikrobiyolojik kalitesinin ortaya konulması amaçlandı. In order to determine the behavior of fruits during drying under natural conditions, open sun drying experiments were conducted on apricots, grapes, peaches, figs, and plums. The drying rate curves of these fruit did not contain constant rate period, but showed a falling rate period.
