Characterization of p(PmO), p(LO) and p(RO) organoparticles, their bioactivity properties and their effect on pancreatic cancer Capan-1 cell

Nahit AKTAŞ

For the first time in the literature, p (PmO), p (LO) and p (RO) organo-particles were synthesized from Peppermint oil, Lemon oil and Rose oil. Of the organo-particles L-929 cell line viability/cytotoxicity and anticancer effect against Capan-1 pancreatic cancer cell line were investigated. p (PmO), p (LO) and p (RO) organo-particles were featured by thermogravimetry (TGA), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Particle size (DLS), and particle charge (zeta potential, Zeta) analyses. Antioxidant, biocompatible, and antimicrobial activities and in v ...Daha fazlası

Effect of surfactant materials to nanoparticles formation under pulsed plasma conditions and their antibacterial properties

Emil ÖMÜRZAK | Ruslan ADİL AKAY TEGİN

Pulsed plasma between two Zn rods submerged into aqueous solution of cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) surfactants resulted in formation of pure ZnO nanorods, while the pulsed plasma between two Zn rods in water without surfactant yielded a mixture of ZnO and Zn nanoparticles. Carbon coated ZnO nanorods with about 20 nm thickness and 150 nm length were synthesized by this method using different surfactant materials such as CTAB and SDS. Cu nanoparticles of about 10 nm in size were also synthesized by the pulsed plasma in aqueous solution of 0.2 % gelatine ...Daha fazlası

Molecular imprinted polymers: important advances in biochemistry, biomedical and biotechnology

Kalıypa SALİYEVA | Bakıt BORKOYEV

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are handmade receptors that mimic the binding of natural antibodies. In other words, MIPs can selectively bind to the target molecule and qualify as bio-inspired synthetic materials. Today, MIPs are used extensively and are being developed further for biological applications. High cost and time consuming techniques are compelling factors for the field of biochemistry, biomedicine and biotechnology (3B), and there is an urgent need for an alternative, cheap, easy to produce, fast and effective method in these fields. MIPs stand out as a promising way for th ...Daha fazlası

High-performance carbon black electrode for oxygen reduction reaction and oxidation of atrazine by electro-Fenton process

Mehmet KOBYA

The aim of this study is to produce an electrode that can be used in H2O2 production and Electro-Fenton (EF) process by an effective, cheap, and easy method. For this reason, a superhydrophobic electrode with a higher PTFE ratio and high thickness was produced with a simple press. The produced electrode was used in the production of H2O2 and mineralization of Atrazine. First, the effect of pH, cathode voltage, and operation time on H2O2 production was evaluated. The maximum H2O2 concentration (409 mg/L), the highest current efficiency (99.80? and the lowest electrical energy consumption (3.16 ...Daha fazlası
