Organo-hydrogels were synthesized by using free radical polymerization in the emulsion technique, using agar, glycerol, sesame oil, ammonium persulfate as initiator and N,N'-methylene bisacrylamide or glutaraldehyde as crosslinker. Swelling behaviors, blood compatibility, antioxidant and properties of the organo-hydrogels were investigated thoroughly. Polymer-based catalysts have never been used before as anode catalysts in direct formic acid fuel cells. At present, Poly (acrylic acid), Poly (AA) was prepared and electrodes were constructed on graphite pencil (G) from these hydrogels. At present, a voltammetric L-Cystein (Cys) sensor is developed based on carbon nanotube (CNT) supported Ru-Mo-Pd trimetallic catalyst modified glassy carbon electrodes (GCE). Firstly, Ru-Mo/CNT catalysts are prepared via sodium borohydride reduction method and following this Ru-Mo/CNT modified GCE electrode is prepared and Pd electrodeposition at varying Pd concentrations is performed to obtain Ru-Mo-Pd/CNT catalysts.
