On the evidence of the earlier research findings, as well as the full-scale and lab-scale test data of 2019–2020, this article describes the ecological situation at Kara-Keche lignite field being developed by five mining companies in the Jumgal district of the Naryn Region in the Kyrgyz Republic. It is found that the field development proceeds with insufficient adherence to legal documents and has a considerable adverse influence on the environment and water bodies. Outbreak of sheeppox in farmed sheep in Kyrgystan: Histological, eletron microscopical and molecular characterization

On a farm in the Kyrgyz Republic, several dead sheep were found without any history of illness. The sheep showed several ulcerations on lips and bare-skinned areas. At necropsy the lungs showed multiple firm nodules, which were defined as pox nodules histologically. In the rumen hyperkeratotic plaques were visible. With electron microscopy pox viral particles were detected and confirmed with qPCR as Capripoxviruses. Although all members of the Capripoxvirus genus are eradicated in western countries, this study should remind us of the classical lesions observed in poxvirus infections. Keywords: ...Daha fazlası

Migrant parents and psychosocial effects of parents' absence on children left behind in the Kyrgyz Republic

This study was conducted to investigate the psychosocial effects of parents' absence on children left behind in the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstan). A survey was conducted in 2018 with a sample of 457 secondary school children aged 11-18-years-old in the Kyrgyz Republic. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the psychological well-being of children was not significantly influenced when their parents were not divorced but did live separately.
