The first combined archaeological and archaeometric analyses on Bronze Age pottery from Kyrgyzstan (Uch Kurbu site)

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV

The integration of the Bronze Age populations in Kyrgyzstan into the Andronovo sphere is largely based on the resemblance of the ceramic material discovered at the Kyrgyz sites with the pottery from various Andronovo sites, which has been explained by human migrations. However, very few detailed pottery studies have been conducted, and no archaeometric analyses have been applied to date to the material from Kyrgyzstan. We present a first investigation on Bronze Age pottery from Uch Kurbu (Kyrgyzstan) through a combined archaeological (field-based stylistic and macroscopic examinations) and arc ...Daha fazlası

Preparation of stabilized silver and tin nanocomposites by electrical discharge

Emil ÖMÜRZAK

In this study silver and tin nanocomposites were synthesized by electro spark dispersion in ethanol. Resulting nanocomposite was characterized by using the powder x-ray diffraction and emission scanning electron microscopy. It was found by X-ray phase analysis that the product obtained by electro spark joint dispersion of silver and tin in ethanol consists of two phases: Ag3Sn and beta-Sn. The results of processing SEM micrographs of the product of the Ag-Sn system show that the obtained phases are spherical nanostructures with sizes of 30-60 nm. This size of nanostructures was associated wit ...Daha fazlası

Mapping burial mounds based on UAV-derived data in the Suusamyr Plateau, Kyrgyzstan

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV | Künbolot AKMATOV

Located in the northern part of the Tian Shan Mountains, at an average elevation of over 2200 m.a.s.l., the Suusamyr Plateau is home to numerous archaeological sites. Nonetheless, there is little to no information available regarding the spatial characteristics and preservation conditions of these complex burial grounds. During the recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have offered the possibility of fast acquisition of high -resolution images that facilitate the identification and documentation of archaeological sites and features. Given these advantages over 1500 ha (29 individual si ...Daha fazlası

Chronological echocardiographic evaluation of left ventricular systolic and diastolic function in term and premature neonatal calves

İsmail ŞEN

Echocardiographic studies in human neonatology has demonstrated that prematurity can lead to cardiovascular dysfunction and especially compromises the left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic functions. As echocardiographic studies have not been performed on cardiovascular dysfunction in premature calves, we echocardiographically evaluated and compared the LV systolic and diastolic function in full-term and premature calves. We followed the hemodynamical changes of LV during first 3 days of life. Twenty premature calves and 10 healthy term calves were enrolled in the study. 2D, M-mode and ...Daha fazlası

Effect of surfactant materials to nanoparticles formation under pulsed plasma conditions and their antibacterial properties

Emil ÖMÜRZAK | Ruslan ADİL AKAY TEGİN

Pulsed plasma between two Zn rods submerged into aqueous solution of cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) surfactants resulted in formation of pure ZnO nanorods, while the pulsed plasma between two Zn rods in water without surfactant yielded a mixture of ZnO and Zn nanoparticles. Carbon coated ZnO nanorods with about 20 nm thickness and 150 nm length were synthesized by this method using different surfactant materials such as CTAB and SDS. Cu nanoparticles of about 10 nm in size were also synthesized by the pulsed plasma in aqueous solution of 0.2 % gelatine ...Daha fazlası
