Nahit AKTAŞ

Novel metal-free catalysts were synthesized form maleic acid (MA) and citric acid (CA) based polymers for hydrogen generation form NaBH4. Surfactant-free-self-emulsion polymerization technique was used to synthesize poly(Maleic acid)(poly(MA)), poly(Citric acid)(poly(CA)) and poly(Maleic acid-co-Citric Acid) poly(MA-co-CA)) polymeric micro-particles in a single step. The prepared catalysts were characterized by zeta potential, SEM, FTIR and TGA. The hydrodynamic diameter of the poly(MA), poly(CA) and poly(MA-co-CA) micro-particles were found to be 0.681, 1.273, 1.604 mu m and the zeta potentia ...Daha fazlası

Hydrogen Production from Methanolysis of Sodium Borohydride by Non-metal p(CO) Organo-particles Synthesized from Castor Oil

Nahit AKTAŞ

In this study, the poly (Castor Oil) (p(CO)) organo-particle from natural castor oil (CO) was synthesized for the first time in literature for sodium boron hydride (NaBH4) methanolysis hydrogen production. As is known, catalysts are used in most reactions performed in the chemical industry. Here, by analytical method, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA) and Ultra Field Emission Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM) analyzes of the catalyst were performed and the characteristics of the catalyst were determined. Also for the methanolysis of the p(CO ...Daha fazlası

The role and effect of CdS-based TiO2 photocatalysts enhanced with a wetness impregnation method for efficient photocatalytic glucose electrooxidation

Nahit AKTAŞ

The 0.1 CdS-based TiO2 photocatalysts with different atomic ratios were synthesized by the wetness impregnation (WI) method. These photocatalysts were characterized to actively determine surface area using TPx analyses (TPR, TPO, and TPD). Furthermore, surface structures and properties of photocatalysts were defined by analyses such as XRD, UV-VIS spectroscopy, SEM-EDX and mapping, fluorescence spectroscopy, TEM-EDS, and XPS. The photocatalytic activities of photocatalysts were examined by CV, CA, and EIS electrochemical analyses to investigate use in photocatalytic fuel cells (PFCs) in glucos ...Daha fazlası

A REMARKABLE SYNERGIC EFFECT OF POLY (ACRYCLIC ACID) HYDROGEL ANCHORED PD CATALYSTS IN FORMIC ACID ELECTROOXIDATION REACTION

Nahit AKTAŞ

Polymer-based catalysts have never been used before as anode catalysts in direct formic acid fuel cells. At present, Poly (acrylic acid), Poly (AA) was prepared and electrodes were constructed on graphite pencil (G) from these hydrogels. Furthermore, Pd doped Poly (AA)/G electrodes were prepared by employing electrodeposition techniques, and their formic acid electrooxidation (FAEO) activities were examined via cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. These electrodes were characterized by DT-TGA, FTIR, and SEM-EDX. It was observed that Poly (AA)/G wer ...Daha fazlası
