The integration of millet into the diet of Central Asian populations in the third millennium BC

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV

Stable isotope analyses demonstrate that C-4 plants played an important dietary role in Eurasian prehistory. Uncertainty remains, however, about when and how crops were integrated into the diet of Central Asian populations. Here, the authors present delta C-13 and delta N-15 stable isotope analysis of human and animal bone collagen from Kyrgyzstan, revealing C-4 plant-likely broomcorn miller-consumption in the third millennium BC. Combining this evidence with AMS radiocarbon dating and animal collagen peptide fingerprinting demonstrates that broomcorn millet was consumed by humans and animals ...Daha fazlası

Carbon and oxygen stable isotopic evidence for diverse sheep and goat husbandry strategies amid a Final Bronze Age farming milieu in the Kyrgyz Tian Shan

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV

The mountains of Central Asia during the Bronze and Iron Ages are increasingly being reconceived as an important zone for intensive crop cultivation in combination with pastoralist herding. However, very little information is known about how farming practices intersected with livestock husbandry, especially at high-elevation sites. This paper presents the first insights to ancient animal management strategies in the Tian Shan through incremental carbon and oxygen stable isotope analysis of domesticated caprine teeth recovered from the Chap-1 farmstead located at 2000 m.a.s.l. in Kyrgyzstan (10 ...Daha fazlası

On the new hyperbolic wave solutions to Wu-Zhang system models

Ercan ÇELİK

In this study, some solitary wave solutions of the Wu-Zhang system are analyzed using the modified expansion function method and the sine-Gordon expansion method. Solitary wave solutions of this non-linear mathematical model consisting of hyperbolic and trigonometric function structures are get. Two and three dimensional, density graphics of the solitary solutions of the mathematical models are drawn by choosing the appropriate parameters. It was seen that all solution functions found as a result provide the mathematical model. In this study, Wolfram Mathematica software program was used for a ...Daha fazlası

Complex solutions to the higher-order nonlinear boussinesq type wave equation transform

Ercan ÇELİK

The higher-order nonlinear Boussinesq type wave equation describes the propagation of small amplitude long capillary-gravity waves on the surface of shallow water. Mathematical physics, shallow water waves, fluid dynamics, and fluid movement are all examples of this model. To acquire exact solutions in the form of solitary wave and complex functions solutions, we use the (m 1/G')-expansion method. These results aid mathematicians and physicians in comprehending the model's physical phenomena. This approach may be employed on different models in order to generate whole new solutions for nonline ...Daha fazlası

Ecological Assessment of Technogenically Disturbed Soils of the Mountain Ecosystems of Kyrgyz Republic Based on the TRIAD Method

Nurzat TOTUBAYEVA | Kanatbek KOCOBAYEV | Aygül USUBALİYEVA | Ciyde TOKPAEVA

Comprehensive studies of soil contamination were performed in the area of settlement Kichi-Kemin (Kyrgyz Republic). Soils of the Kyrgyz Republic are exposed to waste (tailings) of many industrial enterprises of the mining industry not far from the village of A k-Tuz, located 145 km from the capital of Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek, at an altitude of 2300 m above sea level. It is noted that 4.17 million tons of radioactive waste from one of the enterprises were once disposed of at four tailings in the Kichi-Kemin Valley. The main waste elements are radioactive thorium, heavy metals such as cadmium, ...Daha fazlası
