Analysis of genotype by environment interaction to identify high-yielding and stable oilseed rape genotypes using the GGE-biplot model

Hossein ZEİNALZADEH TABRİZİ

Spring oilseed rape is one of the major oilseed crops produced in different regions of Iran's tropical climates. Because of the various climatic and geographical conditions of the tropical areas of Iran, it is necessary to release high-yielding cultivars with broad adaptability to the various tropical regions. The main objective of this study was to identify high-yielding and stable spring oilseed rape genotypes among some new oilseed rape genotypes via analysis of genotype by environment interaction using the GGE biplot model. To this end, multi environmental trials (METs) were conducted acro ...Daha fazlası

Method of spherical harmonic series in the problem of minimization of atmosphere pollution by fractions of harmful admixtures

Ramiz RAFATOV

The problem of minimization of atmosphere pollution by fractions of harmful admixtures is studied. It is supposed that a controlled object is described by non-stationary integral–differential transfer equation with special boundary conditions and control parameters, which are included in the right part of equation as delta-functions. Minimized integral quadratic functional characterizes energy expenditure for control and depends on the average squared deflection of fraction concentration from the desired final state. Optimal conditions are obtained with the help of Pontryagin’s maximum princip ...Daha fazlası

Improvement of frost tolerance in tomato by foliar application of potassium sulphate

Atilla DURSUN

The study aimed to determine the mean low-temperature exotherms (LTE) of the shoot tip of the dOmur F-1, Cuma F-1, Safir F-1, VT-1770, Elibol F-1, and Adelya F-1 tomato cultivars and Yerli-14 and Yerli-24 local tomato genotypes. Moreover, this investigation intended to specify the most effective dose of potassium sulfate with its efficacy time by applying four different doses of potassium sulfate (K2SO4) foliar fertilizer on the most and least tolerant cultivar. The mean LTE of the shoot tip of seedlings was determined by using differential thermal analysis (DTA). In the second part of the stu ...Daha fazlası

The investigation of the use of plant-based wild mustard and boron doped oil as engine lubrication oil in diesel engines

Hüseyin ÖĞÜT

In internal combustion engines, mineral engine oils which serve as lubricants between parts are not used alone due to technical reasons and various additives are made use of for better lubrication. In these additives, liquid boron serves to reduce friction. To reduce the environmental damage caused by engine lubrication oils, it is necessary to improve the properties of biological oils so that they can be used and compete with mineral oils technically. In the study, the use of liquid boron as an engine lubrication oil additive, together with wild mustard oil methyl ester, was investigated. Two ...Daha fazlası

The effect of geographical margins on cereal grain size variation: Case study for highlands of Kyrgyzstan

Kubatbek TABALDİYEV

Archaeobotanical research in prehistoric Central Asia and beyond has repeatedly reported highly compact wheat and barley varieties found along piedmont sites of the Inner Asian Mountain Corridor (IAMC). The morphotypical variation of wheat caryopses across Eurasia generated the Liu et al. (2016) publication pointing out a decrease in grain size relative to eastward dispersal into China; the decrease in wheat caryopses was explained as human selection of smaller grain sizes for better culinary properties. In this study we discuss the possible effect of geographical margin, mountains in partic ...Daha fazlası

Effects of using ethanol-biodiesel-diesel fuel in single cylinder diesel engine to engine performance and emissions

Hüseyin ÖĞÜT

In this study, biodiesel was produced from safflower seeds by converting the raw oil obtained through dampening them via the rolling process, roasting at 90 °C and pressing into Safflower Oil Methyl Esther (Safflower Biodiesel) using the trans-esterification method. Experimental fuels were obtained in the forms of D100, B2.5M2.5D95, B5M5D90, B5M2.5D92.5 and B2.5M5D92.5 by mixing the biodiesel fuel obtained from safflower with diesel fuel, adding bio-ethanol at the rates of 2.5% and 5%, and volumetrically in inverse ratio. Tests were conducted to determine the fuel properties of the mixed fuels ...Daha fazlası

Interactive effects of salinity and drought stress on photosynthetic characteristics and physiology of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) seedlings

Atilla DURSUN

Sufficient quantity and quality of water are essential for vegetable production. Evaluating the individual and combined effects of drought and salt stress on plant establishment may help inform management of plant production in terms of stabilizing yield. This study investigates the effects of drought and salt stress on plant growth, nutrition elements, and select physiological parameters of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L. cv. H2274) through a pot experiment under greenhouse conditions. Drought stress was applied to tomato seedlings at 3 different levels of irrigation: D0 (control), D1, an ...Daha fazlası
